There were a host of ideas as to how this splendid building was to be re-used after it had been abandoned: there were plans to simply demolish it, to build a housing complex next to the famous glass cube, a sports centre … now the time has finally come to recover this architectural jewel for the people of Bilbao as a culture and leisure centre.
